Legendary Band, The Rockets, Rocked the West Coast
Renowned for bringing the best in family entertainment to the West Coast, Tsogo Sun’s Mykonos Casino recently hosted one of the most popular R&B/ pop groups in the country, The Rockets, live at the Athene Conference Centre, with over 430 fans flocking to the sold out show.
The quintet performed pop, R&B, rock, Latino and South African hits from the 1960s right through until today and the enthusiasm from the audience was phenomenal.
More than just a group, The Rockets are a musical institution and their cross-generational appeal, coupled with their versatility, ensure that they have continued to remain one of South Africa’s best-loved bands. For the past 50 years they have set both the local and international stage alight, with their colourful, uncompromising and energetic performances.
“It was an honour to have The Rockets grace our stage, particularly as this year marks their 50th anniversary in the music industry. When they performed at our property, they showed why they are undoubtedly one of the best pop/R&B groups in the country.
